OLCC releases draft rules on recreational licensing

Our members have been engaged with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's rules advisory committee and its many subcommittees. We will continue to provide comment and advice to help the agency develop fair and sensible regulations that will build a safe, robust and compliant cannabis market that brings jobs and prosperity to our state.

We are encouraged by the bipartisan comments provided by members of the Legislature's Joint Committee on Marijuana Legalization, as described in a story in today's Oregonian by Noelle Crombie.

The bottom line on the OLCC's proposed residency requirements: they would have the unintended consequence of unfairly disadvantaging Oregon businesses by limiting the capital available to them just when it is needed most to grow a local business in this emerging industry.
