Oregon Cannabis Association celebrates October 1 start to recreational sales

The Oregon Cannabis Association joins Oregonians in celebrating the beginning of adult use sales on October 1.

“We want to invite community members, whether they are longtime cannabis aficionados or simply curious, to visit a dispensary and learn more about this amazing plant,” said Amy Margolis, who leads the Oregon Cannabis Association, a professional organization group representing dozens of cultivators, dispensaries, processors, edible makers and allied businesses.

“The adult use cannabis market will create an entirely new job market with above average pay and excellent working conditions,” Margolis said. “As a growth industry, we can expect the regulated cannabis market to improve Oregon’s economy rapidly. And we look forward to the day when Oregon’s world class cannabis can be enjoyed beyond our borders.”
